From before() go directly to after() without go in action_()?
  • Hi,

    I have a base controller for login/security and so on. In a special case I set a special template-file with

    $this->template->set_filename(...);

    in before() and want go directly to after() without go in controller action().

    Is this possible?

    I think this is a solution for my problem:

    $this->template->set_filename('...');
    $this->request->action('security');

    I create in my base controller a empty action_security and set this as destination.

  • I don't think this is a good practice. Why don't you create that exception in the action instead of before()? Can you post more code?

  • What exactly are you trying to achieve?

    Like zoltalar said throwing an exception (and overwriting Kohana_Exception's _handler() method in said exception) sounds like a better idea.
