Why not use PHP PDO?
  • Well, I started to look at the database module for KO3 and realized I wanted something more simple.

While thinking about this, I checked PHP PDO (http://php.net/pdo) out again, and it have become a lot more mature since last time I tried it. Said and done, I decided to use PDO instead and built a little wrapper for it. To have the standard model connecting to the database for me, and being able to have the database config in the right place.

Here it is for those interested: http://kohana.lillem4n.se/2010/07/26/simple-pdo-database-connector/

What I'm missing is the profiler... but maybe that can be solved?
