    Just download the latest kohana and install it. When it works, enable the userguide module.

    You enable it in bootstrap.php like you would enable any other module.

    You can save a lot of time by reading the online userguide which will show you how to do this.

    What does enabling the userguide module actually do? Before I turn it on and fart around, just wondering what it's used for or how it helps.

    It allows you to browse all the documentation for Kohana and your enabled modules by going to /guide.
